--"Slowly," is my answer. It had me shaking my head too, because I am not a fast swimmer. I never have swam that far.
I did break it into 2 swims....but the second one was still about the length of an Ironman swim. The swim was precisely what initially made me say "no way" to the challenge but...ah I had to try, and surprised myself.
I will post an embarrassing video soon. It took me about 48 hrs all together because I had so much going on.
AND--I had no pedals on my new bike yet, so I rode my old one I had a tire blow out around mile 28 --so I had to finish on a terrible exercise bike at the gym. Arrggh--that was not so fun. But after getting that swim done already, you can be sure I finished up the bike no matter the situation! :)
Sooooooo how did you do the 4 mile swim thing? That, to me, is way out of reach.
ReplyDeleteThe 4 mile run is a walk in the park. The 44 mile ride is a bit more of a challenge but you've got that new, sweet bike.
The swim would have me shaking my head.
Weeeell, "How did I do the swim?" you say--
